The chartered professional body for treasury
The Association of Corporate Treasurers is the chartered professional body for treasury. Founded in London in 1979, it was awarded a Royal Charter in 2013 and is the only treasury association to hold one.
The ACT sets professional standards for treasury, offers qualifications for every career stage, and supports treasurers throughout their careers. Its members and students are based in more than 80 countries.
Why treasury capability matters now
Treasury has moved to the centre of how organisations manage funding, liquidity, currency exposure and financial risk. As expectations on the function grow, organisations need people whose knowledge is structured, current and benchmarked against an international standard, not built only on the job.
ACT qualifications provide that standard: practical, commercially relevant learning that professionals can apply directly in their roles.
